Important limitation

Claude cannot upload image files directly to the Meta Ads MCP.

To set a creative image on your ad, you must use the MCP Uploadcommand with a publicly accessible image URL containing your desired creative.

If you want Claude to analyze an image for copy ideas, manually upload that image to Claude in the chat as well. In short: upload to Claude for analysis; provide a URL for the MCP creative.

Step-by-step

1) Prepare your creative

  • Upload the image to Claude if you want it analyzed for copy ideas.
  • Get a public URL for the same image (CDN/hosted). This is what MCP needs.

2) Provide the image to the MCP

Use the Upload command with the creative’s public URL.

3) Provide or request ad copy

  • Paste your headline, description, primary text, CTA, and destination URL; or
  • Ask Claude to extract/write copy from the image you uploaded to Claude. Still pass the image URL to MCP.

Pro tip

Claude can analyze images you upload, but cannot download arbitrary URLs for analysis. Upload the image to Claude for copy inspiration, and pass a public image URL to the MCP to set the creative.
