Pipeboard is a badged Meta Business Partner
We understand that granting access to your ad accounts is a significant decision. Here is what our Meta partnership means, and how you can verify it yourself.
What is a badged Meta Business Partner?
The Meta Business Partners program has two tiers: Member and Badged. Pipeboard holds the Badged tier — the highest level in the program. To earn a badge, Meta requires:
This is separate from and in addition to App Review. Most apps that use the Marketing API do not hold badged status — it is reserved for companies that Meta has verified meet strict performance and compliance standards.

What does Meta App Review mean?
Every app that requests access to the Meta Marketing API must pass App Review — a manual evaluation by Meta's team. This process verifies that the app:
- Has a legitimate business purpose for the data it requests
- Follows Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies
- Handles user data responsibly and only requests necessary permissions
- Provides clear value to the users who connect their accounts
Approval is not permanent. Meta requires apps to go through annual Data Access Renewal, where the app must re-justify its use of each permission. Pipeboard has successfully passed this renewal process.

Verify it yourself
You do not need to take our word for it. Facebook lets you see and manage every app that has access to your account:
- 1Go to your Facebook Business Integrations settings
- 2Find Pipeboard in the list of active integrations
- 3Click on it to review exactly which permissions are granted and which ad accounts are shared
You can revoke access at any time from that same page. Pipeboard will stop working for your account immediately.
Common concerns
“Will connecting Pipeboard get my ad account banned?”
No. Pipeboard is a badged Meta Business Partner that accesses the Marketing API in the way Meta intends. Connecting an approved app does not violate any Meta policy. Ad account restrictions happen due to policy violations in ad content, payment issues, or suspicious activity — not from connecting authorized third-party tools. Thousands of businesses use third-party tools like Pipeboard every day.
“Can Pipeboard make changes to my ads without my knowledge?”
Pipeboard only acts when you explicitly instruct it through your AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.). It never makes autonomous changes. You can also use read-only API tokens to restrict Pipeboard to reporting only, preventing any modification to your campaigns.
“What data does Pipeboard access?”
Only what is needed to fulfill your requests: campaign structures, performance metrics, and ad creative data. We do not store your ad data long-term and do not use it for any purpose other than providing the service to you. See our Security & Privacy page for details.
“Is Pipeboard open source? Can I verify the code?”
Yes. Our MCP server is source-available on GitHub. You can inspect exactly what API calls are made and how your data is handled. Technical users can also run their own instance.
